Two Injured In CT Shooting

Two men in their 20s were shot during an argument on a street in Connecticut.

The incident took place around 8:45 p.m., Monday, Oct. 11, in Hartford County, in the 130 to 150 block of Brookline Avenue in Bloomfield, for a report of multiple gunshots in the area. 

According to Captain Stephen Hajdasz, of the Bloomfield Police, officers arriving located a 23-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso and legs. 

The unidentified man was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital. 

While on scene officers received information that a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest had been driven to Saint Francis Hospital by acquaintances, Hajdasz said.

The victim’s wounds are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time, he added.

Preliminary information indicates that the victims were assaulted during a dispute involving three to five suspects, police said. 

The BPD Detective Unit is investigating the crime.
